Three-Days Training Workshop on SDGs, Gender Mainstreaming, SRHR & HIV/AIDS organized by `Speak Up` Project under Women Deliver Young Leader Program in collaboration with SDSC.

A three-days Training Workshop was conducted at department of Abida Tahirani Sindh Development Studies Centre, University of Sindh Jamshoro on 17th to 19th Dec by `Speak Up` Project under Women Deliver Young Leader Program.

The exercises were designed to encourage an empathic understanding of students as learners and enhance their understanding regarding sustainable development goals. The Program Manager and focal person and mentor Speak UP, Mr. Mustafa Gurgaze trained and enhanced the students delicately with the grip of his experience. He energized the participants with a variety of effective teaching styles. Nearly 200 participants gained a fruitful knowledge by extra-ordinary and well experienced personalities in training workshop.

Prof. Dr. Ghulam Ali Jariko ( Director Abida Tahirani Sindh Development Studies Centre) , Madam Farhat Parveen, Prof. Dr. Shahabuddin Mughal, Mr. Khalid Rao and Saima Shoukat energized the participants and provided tremendous piece of knowledge regarding the expected hurdles to achieve the 2o30 agenda.

 Mr. Mustafa Gurgaze shared his experience on raising awareness around the Sustainable Development Goals agenda, and to urge the youth in society to be involved in these efforts.

He added, “ I wholeheartedly appreciate Prof. Dr. Ghulam Ali Jariko, Director of Sindh Development Studies Centre, University of Sindh for his outstanding support and facilitation to Women Deliver’s “Speak Up” Project team in organizing a number of activities especially the university students’ training on Gender Mainstreaming, Sustainable Development Goals, HIV/AIDS and SRHR“.

 The key focus areas covered in this three-days training were included SDGs, HIV and AIDS and the gender mainstreaming.

The training focused on improving the ability of the participants to provide and receive effective feedback. The participants were given the opportunity to have a face to face session with multi-dimensional personalities to present their feedback and further advise on the gender mainstreaming.

The Essay and Art Competition and theoretical test were conducted to analyze the capacities of participants. The cash prizes and certificates were awarded to all successful candidates and among all the participants.
